"SHIFT" 2019, Original ACRYLIC ON CANVAS, 30X40X1

This painting is big and intense, the wave shifts into multiple curls. Gnarly for sure. Simultaneously this wave was gnarly to paint. I had to walk away from it multiple times. Little tweaks here and there. I explored different techniques with the palette knife, tried splatting dots (what a mess I made with that) and kept working on it. I set it aside and started other projects. Those projects helped me solve the issues that I was stuck on with this painting.
So with a quick loose application of more color, I called it done. 
 
It has blues and purples and yellows and greens. Lots of seafoam and steaks. Layers upon layers of paint.
 
It is wired for hanging, signed and titled on the back.
